Temporary Customer Service Associate

Rocksbox is looking for a temporary Customer Service Associate to assist with member issues and/or complaints via phone and email.  The ideal candidate would have a passion for customer service, a positive and upbeat demeanor, attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills. This position is based in San Francisco and reports to the Customer Service Manager.

As a Customer Service Associate at Rocksbox you will:

  • Communicate with our customers via phone and email.
  • Utilize a variety of software tools to navigate customer accounts.
  • Research and review policies and effectively communicate solutions to the customer within service level timeframes.
  • Handle general customer questions, complaints, and inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to resolve issues within a single contact.
  • Appropriately document all transactions and pertinent interactions.
  • Be punctual and adhere to team schedule to provide maximum incoming call/email coverage.
  • Be able to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Alert the manager and team of any issues, process improvements, or technical issues that need attention.
  • This position is full-time Monday through Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.
  • This is a temporary 3 month position.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required (College degree preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Very detail oriented, organized and keeps meticulous records
  • Works well in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Strong sense of discretion and decision making skills
  • Able to handle difficult customer interactions while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor
  • Experience with CRM systems a plus
  • Experience with data entry a plus
